D&D Monster: Tsukumogami #dnd #ttrpg #dnd5e
Tsukumogami are Japanese objects that stir to life after a century of existence. Forgotten umbrellas, ancient sandals, and well-used lanterns can gain awareness and a mischievous will of their own. Some say they absorb the energy of their users; others believe they simply tire of neglect and rebel. While many tsukumogami prefer rural villages—holding midnight dances of rattling pots and singing scrolls—they may also seek playful revenge on careless owners, tangling hair with a discarded kimono or whisking away a sock. To appease them, never discard treasured items carelessly—offer a bow, speak their names aloud, or reward them with a small gift. If, on a moonlit night, you glimpse a dancing teacup or a rattling broom, you've met a living relic: beware or smile, and join their ghostly revel.
