Rodney's Bullshit Statement about the Genocide on November 13, 2023 (and no, he never talked about it again and has never once condemned the genocide):


Kareem, for what it's worth, I hope you don't stop talking about it. I have the luxury, we've spoken of this before, the privilege of being able to compartmentalize this incredible human tragedy, this international crisis. The injustice of it all. Now, I understand, look, that humans have to compartmentalize, we have to do that in order to survive. But, the reality is, reading some of your tweets have made me realize that there's a little something more at play in my compartmentalization, there is sort of like, hey, this is also complicated, this is not something that i can even really start to think about. There's a kind of like excuse making, I think, that has been convenient, to engage in in my own mind. At a certain point being able to untangle how we got here isn't really the point. At a certain point it's about the subjugation of one people by another, it's about the loss of human life. It's about whatever this is, however we got here, it needs to stop. And that's something we should be able to talk about. Uhhh, and the hesitation to talk about it, to say something about it, is…concerning. And I just wanted to say to you, to acknowledge to you, that the fact that you've been talking about it, at a cost to yourself, losing followers, the fact that it's not something I'm sure you want to be talking about, and at the same time something you don't have the luxury of being able to compartmentalize, I just wanted to say it has had an impact, and obviously I'm not the end goal, like whether it's making an impact on me or not is not really of major importance, I just wanted to acknowledge it though. I just wanted to say that I have appreciated that you've been willing to challenge the status quo. Alright, thanks Kareem.
