Deep Dive: Doomlings Shadow Puppet Expansion

Published: Fri 27th Jun

Shadow Puppets is available now on Doomlings.com

Shadow Puppets is the very first Bolster Expansion for Doomlings—introducing 40 new cards and four haunting new species of Doomlings: Deeplings, Glitterlings, Moonlings, and Fuzelings.

Shadow Puppets includes:

☼ Deeplings Expansion (12 New Cards) - From somewhere behind the velvet curtain, the Deeplings emerge. These mysterious mischief-makers use the Suppress mechanic to conceal your cards—and your motives.

☼ Glitterlings Expansion (12 New Cards) - Forgotten toys with fractured smiles and glitter in their gears, the Glitterlings revel in randomness. Will you risk the fate of your Doomlings species on the draw?

☼ Moonlings Expansion (12 New Cards) - The Moonlings speak in riddles and dance in shadows. They're tricksters, masters of blocking and hand-locking your rivals into silence. Lower your Gene Pool to unlock their powers—but beware: what they offer comes at a price.

☼ Fuzelings Expansion (4 New Cards) - Fuzelings combine the art and mechanics of Deeplings, Glitterlings, and Moonlings. They can help you get bigger bonuses from Drop of Life effects and trigger new combos!

A lightweight card game for 2-6 players, Doomlings can be played casually amongst friends, or competitively by the gaming enthusiast family. Because there are no duplicate cards, and Age cards (rounds) are chosen randomly, no two games are ever the same. While the game itself can be learned in 5 minutes or less, don't be fooled by the seemingly simple mechanics. Doomlings features 100+ unique traits—in Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colorless—and with rare and powerful Dominant traits, there are countless combinations and play-styles to be discovered across multiple playthroughs.

A typical game takes between 20-45 minutes, depending on the number of players and sequence of events. Advanced-play expansion packs are also available, including a Hidden Objective expansion for a fun twist to the game. Doomlings requires no dice or additional pieces, just a jolly embrace of the inevitable end of the world!
