Travel Games vs Table Games - just a matter of size?
NewVenture's Peg Pastimes are really BOTH — They are (with very few exceptions) complete strategy games like any other. And they are (generally) very portable and convenient is size and format.
Travel versions of table games have been around since people traveled. That's a long time! More and more portable formats have been created that include pegs and magnets.
Some of the first mass-produced portables were created by Milton Bradley to be distributed to soldiers during the American Civil War. A very similar format was published by the Dreuke company during World War II.
The advent of family mobility brought about by the national highway system in the 1950s made "travel games" a common concept.
NewVenture Games makes a wider variety of travel-compatible games than any other publisher/manufacturer in history. And we have a larger catalog of games than most publishers no matter what style of game they make..
