ORMAN - A Roll & Plant Print and Play Game - Kickstarter Video

Published: Sun 30th Nov

ORMAN is a print-and-play roll and write game where players cultivate their own forests using just regular dice and a pencil. Each round, everyone uses the same roll of two white dice and two black dice to determine both the shape of the area to plant, and the type and density of trees to place.

The white dice define your planting shape, you may use one value, the other, their sum, or their difference. The colored dice let you choose a tree type and set the tree density. Rolling doubles on the colored dice also gives you the option to place a lake anywhere on your grid instead of planting.

Trees must be placed orthogonally adjacent to water or existing trees, starting from a pre-drawn lake. The goal is to grow large, connected groups near lakes, diversify tree species in marked columns, and fill your entire forest grid. Scoring rewards lakeside groves, column variety, and a complete map, while empty squares cost points.

ORMAN includes both multiplayer and solo modes, offering a relaxing yet strategic roll-and-write experience rooted in spatial planning and adaptability.
