Operation Barclay and Southern Board Game Fest VFM news (with Mitchell)

Published: Thu 8th Jan

It's another “lagniappe” episode of the Gumbo podcast, this time with Mitchell Prudhomme, the director of Southern Board Game Fest!
First, Mitchell and BJ chat about their recent play of OPERATION BARCLAY, a cool two-player historical game about deception on the European front (with a poker mechanic!) that they both really enjoyed. It's designed by Maurice Suckling with art from Meeple Foundry and published by 25th Century Games here in the States and by Salt & Pepper Games elsewhere.
Then Mitchell gives us some exciting news about the brand new Virtual Flea Market for Southern Board Game Fest 2026!  Go to www.southerngamefest.com to get your reservations and take a peek at the VFM games for sale.
Finally, we throw in our choices for ENVIE game this week!  Mitchell and BJ chat about the games that they really, really, really want to play next.
Sit back with a glass of refreshing Gimlet or Pink Gin, and a plateful of bangers and mash, and ]enjoy another episode of Lagniappe from Board Game Gumbo!
